Hi everyone, unfortunately this house meeting is like many from the past, to talk out some Recycled drama.
Recently, I posted the veto competition where I had the players come on AIM and a staff member would post this word search:
There are 18 words that I put in there of the 18 allstars to play this game. However it has either their first or last name and without any other clues they had to find all 18 words and post the results in the form of a completed word search in their DR.
Cassandra finished in 21 minutes
Dominic didn't finish but had a good amount after 30 or so minutes
Lori finished in 38 minutes
Rachel finished in 65 minutes
Josh didn't finish but had a good amount after 30 minutes
Karen finished in 7 minutes
Here's the deal (this is also for Enzo as you will see later) I have faith in my houseguests to play fair, but my staff doesn't feel that this score of Karen's is possible.
That is the completed puzzle that I did right after I made the word search and to be honest it took me some time to do, even though I knew every word that was in it. I can't tell you exactly how long it took me, but faster than the average score of everyone, but slower than Karen's time. James adamantly was the first staff member to disapprove of Karen's time stating:
Who gave you the answers/ Who linked you the puzzle before Julie did?
Her response:
This comment was the first thing that made me concern that James was right in his thinking. In my opinion, if you are innocent, you have no problem defending yourself to all people. In season 5 of recycled Monet was accused of being the Saboteur. She knew she wasn't so she made a public announcement. This was also evident in last season with the hacker situation, there was no hesitation for that to go public, but for some reason she wanted to just talk to me about this veto. It baffles me still. Here is Karen and my PMs back and forth.
Chenbot: Do you have a retort to James? He is really adament that it's impossible to do it that quickly, mark that nicely, upload and paste it in 7 minutes. :/
Karen: Yeah sure, when you told me it was a word search I immediately pulled up paint, and tiny pic. In paint there's a straight line mark that does it for you, I believe it's the first choice on the top row. It's actually a lot faster using that tool. Now I had all that up before I started.
I remember that the first word I found was 'Porsche' and that had a bunch connected to it. So I had all those found in the first few minutes. All I can tell you really is that I do word searches a lot. I keep one in my car. I do them all the time when I'm waiting for the kids to get out of school or when I am just waiting for anything.
I'm upset that that he thinks I cheated. :-(
Chenbot: It's not just James, the others are suspicious of it. Instead of having you take a test I'm just posting another veto.
Karen: I understand he's a stickler for rules but if that's the case then why am I the only one being questioned? I hear things all the time about players getting answers beforehand from other players but that's just not me and if it was then I would have won more than I have don't you think?
I'm insulted that he'd even think I would cheat. Do I mind doing a test, yes. How is that fair to me to make me do a test but not make the others do a whole new one? It's not fair at all.
Chenbot: James wants to do a test. I have talked to him about it, but he still doesn't believe it. He has suggested me making another one (where I have all the conditions the same, just changing some names) and if you can still get it in around the same time he'll get off both our backs.
You have to understand, James is a stickler for rules, he evicted an ally in AS 2 when he thought they were cheating.
Karen: I'm sorry, I'm just insulted. If you as the host insist on a test then I have no choice but I don't know if I'd do it if the rest of the veto players didn't have to.
I didn't cheat Julie, you or no one else has proof and it's unfair to the rest of the cast to make them redo veto because others are suspicious of me. If that's the case then I'll just quit, and save you the trouble and the rest of the cast the trouble.
Chenbot: If you quit then you are essentially proving their point. I have faith in all my houseguests which why I'm never afraid to have competitions like that, but I also trust my staff as they love this series as much as I do. You can quit if you want, but it'll make you look guilty even if you aren't.
Karen: I'm not guilty but to make the rest of the players do another veto because of what you guys suspect me of, just isn't fair.
Chenbot: Would you rather me explain the situation to the house and have them decide?
Karen: Considering that half the house is against me no. I'll do this veto but it's bs that because your staff thinks I cheated there's a whole new veto but if I came to you saying I think a player cheated it would be swept under the rug saying you have no proof. No one has proof I cheated, I got lucky pretty much by finding the words I did as fast as I did because they were clumped together.
------
While this is all transpiring, Brian, Jen, and Enzo all comment how it was a weirdly odd time of 7 minutes, though Enzo defends with how all the words are bunched together so it could be possible to see them all. That's the same thing Karen told me, that since they were close she just saw them after she found Porsche's name. Like I said, I'm really trusting in people, but my staff is less than accepting in this event.
Just now I logged on to find these 2 PMs from my staff member Enzo:
So i mean, thats your bad right there if houseguests shared the word search with each other.
I dont really care either way what happens but I mean, That rule wasnt stated in the veto AND all you're doing is listening to James cry like a little bitch. *shrug*
The funny thing about this is that I haven't once said a word to Enzo about this situation and he kinda attacks me from out of nowhere. Little did he know that both Brian and James asked me to check Karen/Enzo's IP address, which came up clear, but obviously doesn't show AIM or skype or anything. I want everyone to know if I haven't already stated it enough, that I believed Karen. I worded the new veto competition that way because it literally was my staff that had the issue. I wasn't hiding behind them at all, I was telling it like it was and yes Enzo is correct in saying that it was stated that you shouldn't talk to others....but I never state that in competitions where you come on AIM cause I tell you on AIM not to tell others. If I posted "get with me on AIM, but don't tell others" that'd make little sense.
Enzo had drama in another series and was called a cheater there and I tend to not drag stuff from other series, but it's not like this is the first time this season houseguests have shown concern about him being a HC. I really don't need more unnecessary drama, so unfortunately I am removing him from my staff.
Also, there is this week to deal with. I don't know what should be done. If the house trusts Karen in her word searching abilities to let her win the veto, if we should just do another veto, or if she just wants to quit...honestly I don't care. I just want this issue resolved, because the nature of the game and this series is to have fun and if it's being corrupted in any way then we have a problem.
Where you lie with allies and enemies should be cast aside. I only made this as there was so much crap going on at once. I have no problem with anyone voicing their opinions on the situation or me in this thread, in PMs, DRs, or on AIM. Just want to find a resolution.

You grossly underestimated the time it would take to do this veto.
Who gave you the answers/ Who linked you the puzzle before Julie did?
Her response:
If Julie has a concern I'd be more than happy to address that with her in private.

I guess we know who's really in charge of this game.
Also, I like how you worded your veto post.
"suspicion from my staff" basically saying, not from you.
However if you're suspicious as well, then say that instead of passing blame on us. Lol For real.
