Providing decent work for employees is part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) . This means that the workforce has a competent salary, enjoys rights and equality, does not suffer discrimination, or suffer from other problems.
Unfortunately, many companies are not interested in ensuring the well-being of their employees. For example, according to a survey , 64% of professionals say that the company they work for exists discrimination. While data from the CNDH affirm that at least 80% of workers have witnessed an act of workplace harassment.
Eliminating this type of situation is a priority Changsha Mobile Number List for the SA8000 Standard, a voluntary certification that companies can access to reflect the labor provisions of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the conventions of the International Labor Organization (ILO).
To better understand the details, as well as the advantages of the SA8000 Standard, at Expok we had the opportunity to talk with Vicky Morales, Manager of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Clarios in Latin America.

Advantages of the SA8000 Standard
The SA8000 Standard measures social performance through nine elements:
Child labor.
Forced or compulsory labor
Health and security.
Freedom of association and right to collective bargaining.
Discrimination.
Disciplinary practices.
Work hours.
Remuneration.
Management system.
Recently, Clarios México —a global leader in energy storage solutions—and a company dedicated to creating the most advanced battery technologies for all types of vehicles, has been characterized by promoting dignified treatment at work, and has obtained certification from the SA8000 standard. To date, it has three certified plants, two in Nuevo León and one in Coahuila.
Clarios México, in addition to demonstrating its social responsibility, has obtained the advantages of the SA8000 Standard by consolidating dignified treatment for its collaborators in these plants. This has been possible through the prioritization of the following practices:
Nondiscrimination
Non-discrimination has always been found in the corporate DNA of Clarios México, as it comes from its Code of Ethics, according to Morales. In addition, the company has had campaigns against discrimination and followed the formats in our country to mitigate this problem.
advantages of the SA8000 Standard
The collaboration and positive change that our employees have had on equality issues has been very interesting. We all work towards equal treatment for everyone.
Vicky Morales, Manager of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Clarios in Latin America.
One of the advantages of the SA8000 Standard and of aligning with it is that the company's collaborators have support mechanisms to guarantee non-discrimination. One of them is the Ethics Line, where any employee who does not feel comfortable can speak freely, since Morales shares that “Clarios guarantees confidentiality and that there is no retaliation.”
At Clarios México all staff have the opportunity to be heard, knowing that an effective response will be provided.
