Hello, Diary Room! It's great to be busting back through the Recycled for a third, and final, time! This game has gotten off to a very wild start, with double evictions, two factions, and lots of personal vendettas flying around. Alliances are forming, people have deals everywhere, some are playing hard, some are laying back, and the best part is...I'm not part of the chaos yet. In Season Six, I made an alliance with the wrong person (Kathy...), and in Season Eight, I had a negative reputation with much of the cast, and had to dodge the early targets and nominations, and had to pull out all the stops. This time, the target is not on me, and I want it to stay that way.
This week was like any other first week of any other game for me. Trying to meet and greet everyone, and get some positive relationships established. Being on vacation made this a bit difficult, though.
The twist, as mentioned, was Factions, must like Starz 4. There is the Nice, and the Naughty. The Nice houseguests nominate the Naughty, and the Naughty nominate the Nice. The Nice side consists of Myself, Cassandra, Dominic, Drew, Jason, Karen, Nick, Parker, and Porsche. The Naughty side consists of Braden, Britney, Chima, Dick, Josh, Jun, Lori, Rachel, and Russell. None of these picks are really a surprise.
Jason and Rachel won the respective HoH Crowns for the week. I was thrilled with these, as Jason and I have been cordial thus far, and Rachel would NOT nominate me. Rachel went the easy route (Cassandra and Parker), but considered going for Porsche, but Porsche is too well connected to attack right now. Jason went with Jun and Chima, since both went kamikaze and tried to take control of things too early. I frankly think both nominations are good.
I came close to winning PoV...Which is a surprise in this series, but hey, progress is progress. I think at this point, Casssandra and Jun seem to be the overwhelming majority, so I'll be voting that way. Pretty easy first week for me, but I need to turn on the burners and start chatting with Dick, Braden, Josh, and Russell before long. I was too busy this week to.
The PoV winners were Jason and Karen, and not surprisingly, nominations were left the same. The nature of this game makes it unwise to upset anyone this early, especially in this Double Eviction format.
Also, there is an alliance that has been formed, more or less, between Rachel, Britney, Karen, and myself. These are the only people in the house I really trust worth a lick...Or can have more than mind-numbingly boring conversations with thus far...So I'm all for it.
Hoping to keep laying low and staying off the radar for awhile.
Video up with more thoughts later.
